The first recorded council meeting in Paullina took place on November 17, 1883. A Mayor and five council people govern the City of Paullina. The current mayor and council are:

The Council meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month for their regular meeting. The meetings are held at Paullina City Hall at 127 S. Main Street at 7:30 p.m.
